FABtotum 3D printer heated bed pin protection

Handle for granny's freezer

How 3D printing can help a granny? For example with a freezer's door handle more comfortable :-)

Some time ago, my granny showed me that she Was struggling to open the freezer door, I tried to think of how to help her.

I measured the original handle and I drew using FreeCAD (http://www.freecadweb.org/) a new handle with the same measurements for the base and screws holes but higher and easy to grip.

The red is a perfect color for my grandmother, her surname is Ferrari :-)

Sliced with Slic3r (http://slic3r.org/) and printed with FABtotum (http://www.fabtotum.com) 3D printer using FILOALFA PLA (http://www.filoalfa3d.com)

Download: maniglia_congelatore_nonna_anna.zip (137 kb) it contain the source in FreeCAD format, the exported STL, the GCODE sliced for FABtotum personal fabricator 3D printer (PLA @ 205°C)
