I designed this reinforcement to remedy the problem. The reinforcement it works like a vise, redistributing the weight of the baby legs between upper (thicker) and lower tissue (thinner). The sources in FreeCAD format are available. {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:strolley_reinforcement_freecad1.png?300|}} {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:strolley_reinforcement_freecad2.png?300|}} ===== Printing instructions ===== I have printed the object exactly as it appears in the STL file, i have printed with 10 mm brim. ===== Mounting instructions ===== Remove the legs holder tissue from holder tubes, using the printed reinforcement as a template and mark the holes on legs holder tubes using a permanent marker (upper side only) {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6402.jpg?300|}} Drill the holes on marked dot with a 4 mm drill bit (it's designed for use with M3 screws) {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6405.jpg?300|}} Check the holes by mounting the reinforcements, the screws and the nuts {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6407.jpg?300|}} {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6408.jpg?300|}} Remove the reinforcements, the screws and the nuts and put the legs holder tissue on holder tubes {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6543.jpg?300|}} {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6544.jpg?300|}} Place the reinforcements on the legs holder tissue and make the holes on it (using a scissor or a screwdriver). Cut four pieces of thick tissue (i have used jeans tissue) and make the holes on it. Mount the reinforcements with the thick tissue, the screws and the nuts {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6550.jpg?300|}} {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6552.jpg?300|}} {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6553.jpg?300|}} Cut the excess of the screws, pay attention to remove all the burr with a file or sandpaper. I've assembled all with M3X20 screws with allen rounded head. {{:en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:img_6796.jpg?300|}} ===== Files ===== rinforzo_passeggino_foppa_pedretti.fcstd -> FreeCAD source rinforzo_passeggino_foppa_pedretti.stl -> STL file ===== Resources ===== * Wiki: http://itink.it/wiki/doku.php?id=en:tinkering:3dprinting:myowncreatedobjects:foppapedrettistrollerreinforcement * Thing on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1730601 * Project on hackaday.io: https://hackaday.io/project/43216-foppapedretti-stroller-reinforcement
